Boiler Scada

Steam Boiler SCADA

Steam boiler plays a vital and crucial role in manufacturing plants of white goods ,semiconductor & process industries as its products steam are important source of thermal energy. The steam at constant temperature and pressure are used in many manufacturing processes like semiconductor fabrication, sterlization.Steam is used in many santization and cleaning process.

to achieve high level of productivity the metered/measured water is fed at controlled pressure & fanmotor operation ,burner operation is monitored to produce the steam at monitored pressure ,the amount of PNG consumed is logged & the amount of steam produced is also logged using flowmeter, conected to the analog input of the PLC which is conencted to the SCADA software using ethernet cable.

Scada for the boiler

The application involved monitoring the efficency of three no of steam boilers at client site

scada boiler

Sensors on the boiler

Instruments like pressure Transmitter ,Temperature transmitters,Flow transmitters are mounted on the output side of the boiler steam line.

The input water flowrate & consumption gets logged in the SCADA using flowmeter of endress and hauser.

boiler IOT

PNG flowmeter

Fuel to these boilers were PNG

the fuel consumption to the boilers was monitored and logged on the SCADA through PLC analog inputs

We were able to measure the flowrate of the PNG and totalizer value which was logged in the scada ,to calculate the daily, weekly and monthly usage of PNG against the steam produced in the same duration.

It was usefull for the client to compute the bolier efficiency.

Endress hauser

PLC panel with analog inputs

Mitsubishi PLC FX5U along with analog inputs was used to

the fuel consumption to the boilers was monitored and logged on the SCADA through PLC analog inputs
